Hi, i have been TTC for 3 years now....i have pcos and have been informed that i will not conceive unless i use clomid or met......

Before i do decide to take these I wanted to try some herbal remedies and see if i couldn't get things moving along myself....

was wondering, as my LH:FSH ratio was reversed and i have irregular cycles....if i should take

black cohosh & vitex
along with Evening primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea?

or is that too much? or can i add to it?

Hello meg.

My first suggestion is that you eliminate foods that stagnate the system, such as: Pork, heavy red meats, white sugar, all dairy and all fried and greasy foods.
Moderate your alcohol intake to no more than 1 glass per night. Avoid excessive caffeine, excessive salt, processed foods and all foods containing additives an/or preservatives. If you smoke, quit or moderate the use.

Enhance your diet with plenty of fresh cold water fishes (mackerel, salmon, herring, anchovies and sardines), plenty of fresh garlic, onions, yogurt, honey, brown rice, fresh steamed vegetables and fresh fruits.

Supplement daily with a good multi-vitamin multi-mineral and 1 tablespoon of Omega3 fatty acids 1x day.

We suggest you begin drinking infusions of Chinese angelica, adding 30 drops of extract or tincture of Agnus castus and 20 drops of extract or tincture of False unicorn. Sweeten only with honey and drink 3xs day.
Once you become pregnant or suspect you are discontinue the Chinese angelica.

I also suggest that if your menstrual cycle is normal, to have intercourse on the 13th, 14th and 15th days before your next period. Do not douche after sex nor use lubricants. The best position for conception is the "missionary position". It takes between 15 to 30 minutes for the sperm to reach the uterus, we suggest you remain lying on your back with your knees raised for a half hour after sexual intercourse. Do not take a bath before intercourse, as sperm need cool temps in order to survive.

One final suggestion, we would like to remind you that stress has been found to play a major role in some cases of infertility. Learning relaxation and breathing techniques may be helpful in this area. Your local library will have books or videos on these to help get you started.

Hope this helps.
Good luck! H.
